4K test signal generator supporting 3840 x 2160p and 4096 x 2160p.
It simultaneously outputs HD video signals(3G/HD-SDI).
Equipped with 2 built-in signal sources, it also offers optional individual test signal outputs.
The standard features includes payload ID editing functionality.
Features
ESG-4000 (BTO Product):
- Supports 3G/HD-SDI output.
- Distributes two 4K video signal lines (3G-SDI x 4) to 2 outputs, or 2 HD video signal lines (HD-SDI) to 3 outputs.
- Embeds 32-channel audio into 4K(UHD)-SDI signals, and 16-channel audio into 4K(DCI)-SDI and HDI signals.
- 2 outputs for MADI signals
ESG-4100:
- Supports 12G/6G(optional)/3G/HD-SDI output.
- Distributes each of two 4K video signal lines (12G-SDI) to 4 outputs, and 2 HD video signal lines (HD-SDI) to 4 and 3 outputs.
- Embeds 32-channel audio into 4K(UHD)-SDI signals, and 16-channel audio into 4K(DCI)-SDI and HD-SDI signals.
- 2 outputs for MADI signals.
ESG-4200:
- Supports 12G/6G (optional)/3G/HD-SDI and IP output (HD only).
- IP streams support SMPTE ST 2022-6, SMPTE ST 2022-8, and SMPTE ST 2110.
- Distributes two 4K video signal lines (12G-SDI) to four outputs, and 2 HD video signal lines (HD-SDI) to 3 outputs.
- Embeds 32-channel audio into 4K(UHD)-SDI signals, and 16-channel audio into 4K(DCI)-SDI and HD-SDI signals.
- 2 outputs for MADI signals
Versatile 4K output support
Can produce any combination of 3G-SDI（Level-A/B）, Square Division (SQD)/ 2-Sample Interleave (2SI) signals, and 3840 x 2160p/4096 x 2160p resolution. (*Only ESG-4100/4200 support 12G-SDI. 12G mode can only be used with 2SI.)
HDR/Resolution test chart
PQ and HLG (Gray scale, Color bar) test charts and ZONE Mono-scope resolution test chart are available as optional accessories.
Payload ID editing
Specify the color space and bit depth of HDR information in the payload of included or custom patterns. Four-byte payload data of your choice can also be specified.
2 test signal outputs
The signal generation section has 2 channels, with optional independent control and settings available. (SG-1, SG-2)
Video test patterns, Flash function
Standard test patterns include color bars, ramp, step, white, black, pathological, crosshatch, multi-burst, and noise. Up to 10 custom register test patterns created via PC interface. Flash function allows White or Black signals to be inserted into video.
Colorimetry switching
Choose from ITU-R BT.2020 or ITU-R BT.709 for 4K testing (except for custom-made user test patterns.)
Test pattern scrolling
Scrolling test patterns can be selected horizontally, vertically, horizontally and vertically at the same time, sequenced, or randomized.
Character display
Display time codes or channel numbers on test patterns as necessary. Alphanumeric characters able to be scrolled.
Logos
Logo images in PNG format created on a PC can be overlayed on the built-in test patterns (except USER patterns), and logo images can be scrolled and floated.
Audio test signals
Outputs standard test signals (1 kHz, etc.) Test signals can also be customized by registering 10 computer-generated WAV (linear PCM) files (30 seconds, 32 channels).
External control, SNMP monitoring
Control the unit via Telnet, or monitor operation via SNMP.
Genlock
Output can be synced to an external reference signal and PTP (ESG-4200 only), with BB or tri-level sync available for each of the three output lines.
