Model Selection

Main unit in 3 RU, equipped with IN/OUT terminals, various interface connectors, expansion slots at the rear. The 2 M/Es video switcher offers the performance of 6 M/Es*1 with functions such as MELite™, FLEXaKEY™, and other functional features. 4K option also available.*2

  • HVS-49IO is required.
  • In 4K mode, 1 M/E plus 1 MELite. The HVS-49IO is required.

Control Panel Selection

Dedicated to HVS-490 (12-bus button, 1 M/E rack mountable type).
Offers rich interface of color bus buttons, OLED display, and 7-inch touch panel display, source and macro name display, and more. Direct input via a three-axis (XYZ) joystick, menu control knobs, and a keypad.

Dedicated to HVS-490 (12-bus button, rack mountable type).

Input/Output Selection

Please select optional cards for each slot. (choose one each)

Slot A

16 channels of 3G/HD-SDI input and 8 channels of 3G/HD-SDI output and HDMI output card. Frame Synchronizer function for all inputs and re-size (amplify) function for 4 inputs are provided. (3G-SDI level-A support)

Slot B

4 channels of 3G/HD/SD-SDI input card. Frame Synchronizer function for all inputs and re-size (amplify) function for 2 inputs are provided.

2 channels of analog video signal input card. Selectable between analog composite and analog component (HD or SD) for each terminal.

HDMI and VGA have been mounted on a single card. 2 input channels are possible to use both. (HDCP-incompatible)

2 channels of analog video signal output card. Selectable between analog composite and analog component (HD or SD) for each terminal.

2 channels of 3G/HD/SD-SDI output card. A down-conversion is available on these two outputs.

HDMI and VGA have been mounted on a single card. 2 output channels are possible to use both. (HDCP-incompatible)

Thunderbolt™ 2 I/O expansion card. (4K format is not supported)

Slot C

4 channels of 3G/HD/SD-SDI input card. Frame Synchronizer function for all inputs and re-size (amplify) function for 2 inputs are provided.

4K Expansion Software

Software to support 4K (3840 x 2160/59.94p, 50p, 29.97p, 25p, SQD or 2SI) signals

  • In 4K mode, the HVS-49IO is required.

SD Format Expansion Software

Software to support SD (525/60, 625/50) signals

2.5D DVE Expansion Card

Expansion card to add 16-channel* 2.5D DVE (32-channel in total).

  • 8 channels for 1080/59.94p or 50p

Digital Audio I/O Card

4 pairs (8 channels) of balanced or unballanced AES/EBU audio I/O card.

SSD expansion option

Option to expand SSD for storing stills and clips /(240GB)

Editor Interface Software

A software to support editing machine protocol. Supports BVS/DVS, GVG protocol.
