A Year of Innovation and Growth

As we reflect on 2024, FOR-A International celebrates a year of significant achievements, technological breakthroughs, and successful customer implementations. Our commitment to innovation in broadcast technology has been demonstrated through major product launches, industry recognition, and strengthened partnerships across our global markets.

Global Industry Presence

The year began with FOR-A at ISE in Barcelona, where Fabio Varolo, Sales Manager for FOR-A Europe, explored emerging AV technologies and reinforced our partnerships with industry leaders including Brainstorm, ClassX, Alfalite, and Cinegy. March brought us to FOMEX in Saudi Arabia, underlining our commitment to the Middle Eastern market.

At NAB Show in Las Vegas in April, we unveiled the revolutionary RDS Conductor, marking a significant advancement in IP infrastructure management. The show also featured our strategic partnership with Alfalite, showcasing their revolutionary Micro LED panels and the innovative AlfaArt solution – an all-in-one LED display system with moving ambient artwork that earned a “Best of Show” award from Sound & Video Contractor magazine.

May was a busy month with both Broadcast Asia in Singapore, where we highlighted our leadership in 12G-SDI solutions including the HVS-6000 production switcher with its comprehensive 12G-SDI capability on all inputs and outputs. Simultaneously at CABSAT in Dubai, we demonstrated our powerful and flexible systems that integrate SDI with compressed and uncompressed IP solutions, featuring the MFR-3100EX All-In-One Production Center.

A major highlight of our year was our triumphant return to IBC Amsterdam in September. We demonstrated our latest developments in IP-based and hybrid workflow solutions, including the FA-1616 multi-channel processor and SOAR-A EDGE platform, reinforcing FOR-A’s position at the forefront of broadcast technology innovation. The show also served as the perfect platform for launching our groundbreaking MixBoard powered by ClassX – a revolutionary unlimited layering production switcher that combines software-defined architecture with broadcast-grade reliability.

Sales Manager for FOR-A Europe, Fabio Varolo, explored the transformative potential of Hierarchical RDS technology in a piece for TVB Europe, The Orchestration of IP. In this article he gave valuable insights into how Hi-RDS is making IP infrastructure migration more accessible and cost-effective for broadcasters. His article in Monitor Magazine introduced KOALA, our revolutionary camera tracking system, demonstrating how this innovative technology is making high-quality live augmented reality production more practical and accessible for broadcast, corporate, and events applications.

In Southeast Asia, Regional Sales Manager Robert Shen shared insights on the region’s rapidly evolving UHD production landscape, particularly focusing on the growing demand for 12G solutions in broadcast and live events. Looking Ahead: Growth and Innovation in 2025

As we close out 2024, we’re excited to announce our newest partnership with EnterCast as our distributor for Sweden and Denmark. This strategic appointment strengthens our presence in the Nordic region and demonstrates our commitment to providing local support and expertise across our global markets. EnterCast’s extensive experience in broadcast technology and system integration, combined with their strong regional presence, positions us perfectly to serve the growing Nordic broadcast market.

Looking forward, FOR-A remains committed to supporting broadcasters through their technological evolution with practical, flexible solutions. The industry continues to progress steadily towards IP infrastructure, though we recognise that this transition requires careful consideration and planning, particularly for traditional broadcasters. We anticipate the continued development of software-defined architectures that effectively bridge SDI and IP workflows, allowing broadcasters to evolve their operations at a pace that suits their specific needs and budgets.

While technologies such as SMPTE ST 2110, HDR, and remote production capabilities continue to mature, our focus remains on delivering solutions that provide immediate operational benefits while preparing for future advances. Through our ongoing collaboration with industry partners and our commitment to customer-focused innovation, FOR-A is well-positioned to help broadcasters maximise their existing investments while building towards more flexible, future-proof infrastructures that support both traditional and IP-based operations.
